Classroom visits center around stories about my childhood and how I became a writer. For example: "I was a classroom cut-up, a bad student until I wrote
my first poem about my grandmother being a Pipil Nahua Indian. I sensed for the first time that words gave me a sense of freedom." appreciate hearing from a bilingual author with really wonderful things to say about writers an
Some of the activities that can be involved in a classroom visit include:
    •    Readings from my books.
    •    Reading samples of my writing.
    •    Explaining how I write a poem.
    •    Explaining where I find my stories.
    •    Explaining how I start a story.
    •    Where does my inspiration come from
